chidisima Here is a quote from a book called "Man's Search for Meaning" the author called Frank ... depues they investigated the surname.
This man was a psychologist and he lived a life very hard because it was one of the many victims of the Second World War. Locked in a ghetto as any other prisoner experiences the atrocities typically known, but once released at analyzing the psychological stages that men live from the closure until the liberation (of the lucky few) through the acceptance of reality.
The part that I quote is for me the nectar of the book hopefully you enjoy it.
What we really need is a radical change in our attitude towards life. We must learn for ourselves, and also teach you desperate men who does not really matter do not expect anything from life unless that life expected from us. Let us stop in wonder about the meaning of life and, instead, l think that the continued existence and continually calls us. And respond not with words or meditation but the value is right and proper. Ultimately, life means taking responsibility to find the correct answer to the issues we face there, meet the obligations that life assigned to each one at each particular instant. These
obligations and these tasks, and consequently the meaning of life differs from man to man, from one moment to another, so and so it is impossible to define the meaning of life in abstract terms. Never be able to answer questions about the meaning of life with absolute statements. "Life" does not mean something vague and indeterminate, if not something real and concrete, which forms the destiny of every man, a destination different and unique in each individual case. No man and no destiny can be compared to another man or another destination. Nor is repeated any and every situation demands a different response. A situation may sometimes require the man who built his own destiny by certain types of actions, in others it will bring greater benefit flooding left by the circumstances, contemplate and meditate, and extracting the relevant values. And sometimes, experience demand that the man simply accept their fate and take up his cross. Each situation is different and its unrepeatable uniqueness and each time there is only one correct answer to the problem.
When a man discovers that his destiny is to suffer, to accept this suffering, that suffering becomes its own unique task. It's more that suffering gives the character unique and unrepeatable person in the universe. No one can redeem his suffering or suffer in his place. Nothing serves neither the suffering itself, personified by the attitude adopted against the suffering that life offers homework.
For prisoners, these arguments do not constitute speculation far removed from reality, rather it is represented as the only thoughts able to help and defend us from despair, even without receiving any evidence that would allow us some hope of getting out of there alive . We had already passed the stage, the debate naive to believe that the meaning of life is to achieve objectives through the creation of something valuable. Our sense of life covering the wide circles of life and death, suffering and death. There are instituted our struggle.
